It'll take more than a bit of theft and arson to keep Fear Factory and System Of A Down off the road.

After a truck containing much of their gear was stolen and set ablaze in January knocking their tour off track (see "Fear Factory, System Of A Down Tour Derailed By Gear Theft"), the bands have rescheduled a number of those cancelled dates, and mapped out some new ones as well. The bands have managed to reschedule dates that were blown out in Philadelphia (where the incident occurred), Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Denver, Cleveland, and Lawrence, Kansas. The bands have yet to announce new dates for Montreal, Toronto, and Washington, D.C., which were also on the derailed itinerary.

This time around, Fear Factory and System Of A Down will be joined by Hed (pe) and SpineShank for part of the tour.

The coming weeks will also find Fear Factory adding a stop to MTV's Spring Break to its itinerary. The band will join a list of Spring Break performers that includes Britney Spears, Eminem, Foxy Brown, the Goo Goo Dolls, Busta Rhymes, and others. This year's Spring Break programming will roll out the weekend of March 19-21.

Meanwhile, System Of A Down has been keeping busy as well as of late, as the band's website (at www.systemofadown.com) notes that the band will return to the annual metal shindig known as the Ozzfest this summer. Frontman Serj Tankian also recently went into the studio with the guys from Limp Bizkit to help out on a track for Limp's upcoming album. As we reported earlier this year (see "Korn's Davis, Weiland To Appear On Next Limp Bizkit Album"), the album will also feature appearances by Korn's Jonathan Davis, Scott Weiland, Eminem, and Method Man.
