Urban video director Paul Hunter teams up with Everclear to shoot his very first rock video for the song "Father Of Mine."
The song -- which is the third single off of the group's album, So Much For The Afterglow -- is the No. 1 most added track at Modern Rock and Rock Radio this week. The song, "Father Of Mine," about a child growing up without a father, shows how Alexakis' life unfolds from boyhood to adolescence to adulthood with two actors playing the singer at different ages, then Alexakis in present day. It also features live performances by Everclear throughout the story, wearing costumes that reflect the specific era in his life, which spans from the mid-sixties to today. Though Alexakis came up with the original storyline, Hunter -- who is known for such videos as Notorious B.I.G.'s "Hypnotize"; Mariah Carey's "Honey"; and Erykah Badu's "On and On" -- shaped the video from its conception to what is being called a "mini-epic."
