Faith Evans' sophomore album, "Faith," was released nearly a year ago, but the hits keep on coming. Making the jump from number 57 to number 17 on the "Billboard Singles" chart is the platinum album's third single, "Never Gonna Let You Go."

Evans tells the MTV Radio Network that, although she now loves the track, she initially doubted that the Babyface-produced song would be a hit. "I was kind of skeptical," Faith said of "Never." "I thought I didn't do enough vocals, and I don't know what I was thinking because this is Babyface I'm working with, you know. But (the session) was so brief, when I get into the studio with him, it's like, boom, couple of hours and it's done. I wasn't totally satisfied with what I heard."

In other Faith Evans news, the singer will head to Chicago next week to tape an episode of "Oprah Winfrey." The episode is dedicated to inspirational author Iyanla Vanzant, and Evans will be performing "Right Back Where I Started," which she sings on Vanzant's new album "In The Meantime: The Music That Tells The Story." That CD, which will be in stores on September 7, also features contributions by Montell Jordan, Monifah and Kelly Price, among others (see "Kelly Price, Faith Evans, Monifah For Inspirational LP").
