Smoothed-out soul singers K-Ci & JoJo are in the midst of cutting the follow-up to their 1997 triple-platinum debut, "Love Always," which has just logged its 75th week in the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.

The duo took a break from the studio earlier this week to make an appearance at the 1998 Billboard Music Awards as presenters, and backstage during the event, K-Ci & JoJo talked about the comparisons between them and youthful hitmakers, Dru Hill.

"[I think] it's an honor because Dru Hill are very successful," K-Ci Hailey told the MTV Radio Network, "it's just giving me that much more energy to go out there and do better, because I know that somebody out there is appreciating my talent.

K-Ci said that he and JoJo's plan to complete the album in the next few months, and hope to release the sophomore effort sometime next year.
