Soul singer Faith Evans is back on top of the charts, thanks in large part to labelmate Whitney Houston, as Evans appears alongside Mrs. Bobby Brown and vocalist Kelly Price on Houston's current top five hit, "Heartbreak Hotel."
Evans tells MTV News that she first met Houston at a party a few years back, and confesses that working with the pop diva and recording powerhouse was actually a fairly low-key affair. "When we're together," Evans said, "we're just chilling. We don't normally talk about the business too much. When we were in the studio, it was just work, and we just sang. We all respect each other in that sense. She knows I can sing. I know she can sing. Kelly Price? Everybody knows she can sing. So we were just singing."
