R&B singer Sisqo stopped traffic in Hollywood on Wednesday and Thursday night in order to film a video for "Got To Get It," the first single from his forthcoming solo LP, "Unleash The Dragon."
The Dru Hill frontman took to the streets of Hollywood Boulevard to shoot scenes for the video, which was helmed by director Hype Williams, fresh off his work on the Dr. Dre clip for "Still D.R.E." Even though the official holiday isn't until February 5, 2000, the "Got To Get It" video will recreate the look and feel of a Chinese New Year parade, including floats, fire-eaters, and dancing dragons. Sisqo's "Unleash The Dragon" is due out on November 30, while his Dru Hill counterparts, Jazz and Nokio, plan to issue their own solo albums in April and July of next year, respectively (see "Dru Hill Inks Solo Album Deals, Reunites With Will Smith"). In addition to the solo work, Sisqo and the rest of Dru Hill have also contributed material to Michael Jackson's long-awaited new record, which the singer has recently been working on out in a Los Angeles studio, according to Sony Records.
