The Donnas, Cyclefly, and Tube Tops 2000, a one-off group featuring Hole's Eric Erlandson and his former bandmate, the Smashing Pumpkins' Melissa Auf Der Maur, are all going glam for "Blockbuster," a new tribute album to the bedazzling '70s genre.

For the record, the Donnas covered "Wig Wam Bam" by the Sweet, while Tube Tops 2000, whose membership also includes Blondie drummer Clem Burke and Go-Go's bassist Kathy Valentine, recorded a version of Gary Glitter's glam anthem, "Rock And Roll, Pt. 2."

Cyclefly updated David Bowie's "Five Years," the lead track off the Thin White Duke's 1972 classic "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust," for the "Blockbuster" tribute, which is being executive produced by KROQ DJ Rodney Bingenheimer.

Others contributing glam covers to the collection include Nick Heyward and Dramarama, who served up renditions of the T. Rex tracks "Hot Love" and "Raw Ramp," respectively.

"Blockbuster," which takes its name from a single off the Sweet's 1975 LP, "Strung Up," is slated for release through Conspiracy Music on January 30, 2001.
