A new album scheduled with the original members of the Lynch Mob never happened because singer Oni Logan disappeared after recording just three songs, says guitarist George Lynch. Lynch adds that he hasn't seen or heard from Logan since the disappearing act a couple of months ago, he has no idea where he is, and he's given up trying to find him.
"If you see him, tell him I want my guitar and amp back," he cracks. The three songs that were committed to tape, says the guitarist, will likely be released on the Internet. Lynch, who left Dokken for the second time not long ago, freely admits that "the band terminated me." He has now joined up with Phoenix locals including singer Sebastian Berrington and a rhythm section consisting of Clancy McCarty and Gabe Rosales, who at 19, says Lynch, is younger than his son. Lynch says he hasn't ruled out calling the currently nameless band the Lynch Mob. Whatever the name, they go into the studio to record in mid-September. Lynch also clears up the rumor that former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach was a possible replacement for Logan. It wasn't just simple confusion between the two singing Sebastians, Lynch reports. It seems that Sony A&R legend John Kalodner suggested the pairing, and as a result, Lynch and Bach did talk. However, it didn't work out.
