Whether people are praising her comely looks or her turntable skills, Britain's DJ Rap has managed to get people talking, which is half the battle for someone about to launch a major-label debut album.
Her first effort for Columbia Records, "Learning Curve," arrives soon, and beyond the low-cut image she presents in her press photos, the turntablist is also promising a unique sound. "It's a whole bag of different things," DJ Rap told MTV of the album while at this year's Winter Music Conference. DJ Rap will bring that eclectic sound directly to the people with an in-store appearance at Boston's Newbury Comics on June 1. In addition to signing autographs, DJ Rap will also take some time to spin tracks from "Learning Curve."
