Ani DiFranco, at least her voice and likeness, can be seen on this week's edition of the Fox animated series "King of the Hill."

DiFranco plays a feminist rocker named Emily who urges Hank Hill's wife Peggy to reject her role as homemaker. As part of her attempts to change Peggy's ways, Emily invites Mrs. Hill to a Mothers' Day recital, which Emily says is designed to take a "pot- shot" at the holiday. When Hill family patriarch Hank asks Emily why she would want to take a swipe at Mothers' Day, DiFranco's character snaps back, "Well, it's kind of bizarre, don't you think? The greeting card companies invented this holiday in 1914, and now the whole country celebrates another stereotype of what women are supposed to be."

The voice of the late Tammy Wynette also appears in the episode, which airs this Sunday at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.

DiFranco joins Green Day and Willie Nelson in the pantheon of musical artist to turn up on the show, which is the latest creation from "Beavis and Butt- Head" mastermind Mike Judge.
