Def Squad, the rap trio union of Redman, Keith Murray and EPMD's Eric Sermon, have taken the charts by storm, so to speak.
The rappers' debut album, "El Niño," will bow in at number one on next week's "Billboard" R&B chart and number two on the Pop chart.
The group has been out on the road on the Survival of the Illest tour with DMX and Onyx, and Def Squad recently described to MTV what fans could expect from its live act -- while in the midst of a water fight.
"They can expect a lot of rock & roll type of energy," Murray said, "with us prowling the stage from side to side."
"And when it's time to put it down," Redman added, "we put it down like that all day. I love it."
"So when you come to our show," Murray said, "prepare to get up."
"Prepare to be jumping and getting wet," Redman concluded, "just like this, all day." [750k QuickTime]
The Survival of the Illest Tour pulls into Harelm's Apollo Theater in New York City on July 18.
