Snoop Doggy Dogg and Daz Dillinger pled no contest on Tuesday (July 14) in Beverly Hills Municipal Court on separate charges of possessing less than an ounce of marijuana. Snoop, who is known to the court as Calvin Broadus, received the maximum fine of $100, plus a $170 penalty assessment fee and a $100 payment to the Victim's Restitution Fund, for a total cost of $370. The amount was paid the same day.
Daz, whose real name is Delmar Arnaud, was fined $75, plus a $136 penalty assessment fee, for a total cost of $211, which must to be paid by Aug. 31. The payment to the Victim's Restitution Fund was not imposed in Daz's case, and was not even addressed in court, according to the District Attorney.
As previously reported by MTV News, both rappers entered pleas of not guilty in early July after police discovered the marijuana on the men in May. The discovery of the marijuana occurred after an altercation with several other men backstage at a comedy show hosted by Master P. Snoop, who was on summary probation for a 1997 weapons possession conviction, is now on formal probation because of the offense.
