As their new "Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia" album continues to enthrall college radio, the Dandy Warhols have unveiled their next video.

"Bohemian Like You" is the second clip to be released in the States from the new Warhols record, and frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor (who also directed the video) and keyboardist Zia McCabe recently talked with MTV News about the clip's hedonistic mix of karaoke and '70s-style filmmaking.

"It's just the story of the song with our friends as the actors," Taylor-Taylor began.

"And they're great," McCabe interjected.

"They are great," Taylor-Taylor agreed.

"The bar we did it in is around the corner from Courtney's place," McCabe recalled, "and they were like, 'Well, you don't have to necessarily rent it, but you have to spend $1,000 on drinks.' And we were like, 'OK, yeah. Deal.' [Laughs] Not quite, 'Let me go ask the rest of the guys first if that's OK.'"

"Yeah, and, 'Let's ask our friends if they can help us drink all that,'" Taylor-Taylor added.

"And did we?" McCabe asked.

"God, yeah," Taylor-Taylor said.

" McCabe continued. "We had to kind of lock the doors, stay inside, and finish the liquor."

"It was out of control," Taylor-Taylor said. "That was the last scene in a four-location shoot, 'cause we had to do the story [first], and then the story ends a little over halfway through the song, which means for the whole outro you have to do something [else].

"The concept behind this video is that [we're] telling the story," he described,

"The words are coming up on the screen, and we just did it with the one camera angle," Taylor-Taylor said, "like a security-cam view, where our friends -- with the mic right in front -- would take turns singing karaoke [along] to it. We edited it together, and, jeez, they were so wasted."

"It was so funny," McCabe said. "[People with] two beer bottles [in their hands] at once, jumping [around]."

"Everybody at one time was out [in front], just [yelling], splashing beer on each other's heads and making homeboy raps," Taylor-Taylor continued, "just sitting there, being stupid."

"Combing their hair while they're singing," McCabe said.

"Everybody was trying to out smarty-pants each another," Taylor-Taylor said. "Like, a couple would get out there and the song would begin, and they'd just start making out and pulling each other's shirts up. Oh, gosh, it was so funny." [ReaAudio]

Even though the Dandy Warhols did take to the road for a brief North American promo tour prior to the release of "Thirteen Tales" (see "Dandy Warhols Roll Out 'Bohemia' Tour, Hang With Bowie"), the band has yet to announce dates for another U.S. tour, which is expected to launch in the fall.

The band is currently in the middle of a European outing that is set to roll through Greece and France in early September.
