June 24 [14:00 EDT] -- Call him the Jimmy Carter of hip-hop.
NBA star/actor/rapper Shaquille O'Neal brought together the previously feuding B-Real of Cypress Hill and Ice Cube to record a track for the soundtrack to his upcoming film, "Steel."
On Tuesday, Shaq, Cube, and B-Real were in Los Angeles shooting a video for the song with the help of Peter Gunz and KRS-One who also turn up on the track, "Men Of Steel."
The project marks a reconciliation for Cube and B-Real, who've been on the outs since Cypress Hill insulted Cube on its 1995 album "Temples Of Boom," and Cube returned the jabs on his Westcoast Connection album.
The fruits of this union will arrive when "Men Of Steel" is released as the soundtrack's first single later this summer. The soundtrack, due in stores August 12, also features contributions from Blackstreet, Tevin Campbell and AZ-Yet.
Meanwhile, the Shaq-driven action-adventure movie "Steel" will turn up on August 15. The movie, based on one of the DC Comics spun off of the death of Superman, stars Shaq as an action hero who saves actor Ray J (Brandy's little brother) from a bunch of bad guys.
