It's been three years since the Cure released its last album, 1996's "Wild Mood Swings," and the band is now preparing to return to record stores with "Bloodflowers," due in stores on February 15.
The album, rumored to be the group's final effort, was originally slated for a spring '99 release. As frontman Robert Smith related to fans in a post on the group's official Web site, "Things, as ever, took longer than expected." The record has been in the works since the summer of 1998 and was finally wrapped up in May of this year, with the band opting to hold off on releasing it until the new millennium. It is as of yet unclear whether or not the band will tour to support the album, though the group will be recording an episode of VH1's "Hard Rock Live" on October 19. That episode is not scheduled to air until the spring of next year. The track listing for "Bloodflowers" is as follows:- "Out Of This World"
- "Watching Me Fall"
- "Where The Birds Always Sing"
- "Maybe Someday"
- "The Last Day Of Summer"
- "There Is No If"
- "The Loudest Sound"
- "39"
- "Bloodflowers"
