After committing to a dozen shows at this year's Lilith Fair, Chicago-based songsmith Liz Phair has been named as a replacement for Sheryl Crow on four dates.

Crow withdrew from this year's femme festival after citing exhaustion (see "Sheryl Crow Bows Out Of Lilith"), and Phair will now perform in her place at two Lilith shows slated for San Francisco on June 23 and 24, Phoenix on the June 28 and Albuquerque, New Mexico, on June 29.

When the line-up for this year's Lilith Fair was announced, Phair had previously agreed to play several stints on the tour in July and August.

Phair's new album, "whitechocolatespaceegg," will arrive in stores on August 11.
