After teaming up with Kenny Rogers earlier this year for a hip-hop take on "The Gambler," Coolio has now recorded a track with the Wu-Tang's Ol' Dirty Bastard for Coolio's new album, the follow-up to 1997's "My Soul."
The collaboration, dubbed "Doin' It in the Park," features the two rappers trading off on lyrics over a sample of the old Blackbyrds tune, "Rock Creek Park."
Coolio and ODB recorded the track this past weekend at Park Studios in Orlando, Florida, with producer Justin Trugman, who has previously worked with rap acts O.G.C. and Heltah Skeltah.
As we previously reported (see "Coolio And Kenny Rogers On New Version Of 'The Gambler'"), the new version of "The Gambler" was expected to be on Coolio's new album, which is due out in Spring 1999, although sources close to the rapper indicate that he is still undecided as to whether the song will make the final cut.
