R&B singer Faith Evans is continuing to reassert her role as one of the most talented soul singers around, and has just issued "All Night Long" as the second single from her sophomore album, "Keeping the Faith."
"All Night Long" features some guest vocals from rapper-producer Sean "Puffy" Combs, the head of Evans' record label and a close friend of her late husband, the Notorious B.I.G. But despite the tumultuous events that proceeded the recording of the new album, Evans says she intentionally took a different, lighter approach for this song as compared to "Keeping the Faith's" other tracks.
"It was the last song that I recorded on the album," Evans told the MTV Radio Network, "and I was like, 'I think this song should just be way left field.' Nothing about love, nothing about happy or sad -- at least in the love sense, anyway. Just about partying, dancing and having fun." [28.8 RealVideo]
No word yet on if Faith and Puffy will reprise their parts in a video to accompany the single version of "All Night Long," but we'll keep you posted.
