Atmospheric Los Angeles outfit the Autumns will get some help from one of its biggest influences this week when it previews some new material at a Los Angeles club date.

The group will team with Cocteau Twins bassist-producer Simon Raymonde at L.A.'s Café Bleu on Thursday for a set comprised of six new Autumns songs and six Raymonde/Cocteau Twins songs.

Raymonde and the Autumns are expected to roll out material that will eventually turn up on the three-track Autumns EP "Boy With The Aluminum Stilts" (due in October) as well as the group's upcoming full-length album, "In The Russet Gold Of This Vain Hour" (due next February).

Raymonde produced the effort, which the group recorded at Tom Waits' San Francisco studio. The group kicked up the Cocteau influence even more by enlisting the help of Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie on a track called "Witch Hazel."
