The Moonshine Overamerica '98 tour (yes, that's the name) is set to kick-off on Wednesday in Los Angeles and the electronic tour -- which features such Moonshine recording artists as DJ Keoki, Carl Cox and Cirrus -- will bring its keyboard driven beats to 26 cities during its two-month run.

The Moonshine tour is the last surviving U.S. electronica outing and is being routed to target major college markets as they begin the school year. Additional acts set to appear on the Moonshine bill as part of its rotating roster include Tall Paul, John Kelley, DJ Dan, Micro, Darwin Chamber, Freshmaka, AK1200, Omar Santana, Jim Masters and DJ Dara.

"We've got some of the best DJs in the world," said Cirrus' Stephen Barry, "I mean, Carl Cox I think is kind of like the almost undisputed champion DJ of the entire universe. So it's a heavyweight tour and ravers are going to be treated with the best sounds from all over the world. You're going to see a sea of color and those little flashlight things and glow-necklaces and glow-sticks."

The roving electronic trek has also spawned a new compilation album, "Moonshine Overamerica '98 The Album," which will feature previously unreleased tracks from some of the artists on the bill -- as well as exclusive cuts from various other Moonshine acts.
