Oasis, Primal Scream, Dodgy, Cast, The Chemical Brothers, Chumbawamba, Gene, 60Ft Dolls, The Boo Radleys, Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene and Billy Bragg are all participants in a benefit album for dockworkers in Liverpool.

Britain's "New Musical Express" reports that "Rock The Dock," compiled by Creation Records, home to Oasis, is due July 20.

The dockers have been the focus of a series of benefit concerts over the past year and some, initiated after 400 workers were fired when they went on strike late in 1995 to protest working conditions and other issues. The dockers reluctantly settled the strike this January, but many remain heavily in debt.

The album, with two live tracks and the rest previously released studio recordings, was put together by Creation along with the Rock The Dock Committee and the TGWU's Merseyside Port Shop Stewards.

The track listing will be as follows:

  • Oasis: "Don't Look Back in Anger" (recorded at Earl's Court)
  • Primal Scream: "Come Together"
  • Dodgy: "Found You"
  • Cast: "For So Long"
  • The Chemical Brothers: "Setting Sun" (live)
  • Chumbawamba: "One By One"
  • Gene: "Cast Out In The '70s"
  • 60Ft Dolls: "Always The Star"
  • The Boo Radleys: "Lazarus"
  • Paul Weller: "So You Want To Be A Dancer"
  • Ocean Colour Scene: "Foxy's Folk Faced"
  • Billy Bragg: "Never Cross A Picket Line"
