The Chemical Brothers have returned to the U.S. album charts with its newest effort, "Surrender," and the first single from the record, "Let Forever Be," is beginning to look like the electronica song of the summer.
"Let Forever Be" also finds the Chemical Brothers re-teaming with Oasis' Noel Gallagher, who appeared on the song "Setting Sun" on the Bros.' 1997 record, "Dig Your Own Hole." MTV News recently sat down with the Chemical Brothers, who talked about reprising its collaboration with the elder Gallagher. "We enjoyed working with him," explained Ed Simons, "'cause he's a good at what he does. He makes us laugh a lot in the studio, but we also feel that it was good to work with him 'cause it was a sense of continuity between the two records." The Chemical Brothers will launch a mini-tour tomorrow night in San Diego that will conclude with a set at the Woodstock '99 Music Festival in Rome, New York on July 24.
