Add the Chemical Brothers to the list of musicians lining up their Y2K gigs, as the duo of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons has agreed to headline the "2000GC Millennium Bash" in Sheffield, England.
The Chems are expected to draw a crowd of 25,000 fans to Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium for the December 31 concert, which will also include DJ and electronica sets from Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, and Judge Jules, among others. The Brothers Chemical have just finished shooting a video for "Out of Control," the next single off the duo's current album, "Surrender" (see "Chemical Brothers Get Revolutionary For New Video"). The duo plans to launch a three-week North American tour on September 14 in Boston.
