If you can't wait until the Ruff Ryder/Cash Money tour gets rolling, you'll have to wait a little longer.
Organizers behind the "Source" magazine-sponsored tour (featuring Ruff Ryders DMX, Eve, Swizz Beatz, Drag-On, and The Lox, alongside Cash Money rappers Juvenile, Hot Boys, Lil' Wayne, Turk, B.G., and The Big Tymers) had hoped to get things rolling on February 9 in Providence, Rhode Island and hit close to 50 cities by mid-April (see "DMX, Eve, Juvenile, Lil' Wayne To Head Out On Joint Tour"). However, Interscope Records (distributors of the Ruff Ryders imprint) now tells the MTV Radio Network that the tour's start date won't arrive until February 24 in Rochester, New York and the tour is now expected to wrap up in Seattle on April 10. Interscope tells MTV News that the itinerary that surfaced late last year for the tour was not in fact a final itinerary, and that the later launch date is the result of a final bit of scheduling and not a postponement. The tour's final itinerary has yet to be firmed up. When things do get rolling, the tour will mark DMX's first extended time on the road since his "...And Then There Was X" debuted at number one on the "Billboard" album chart late last year.-- John Gill, with additional reporting by Robert Mancini
