The latest effort from Da Brat is set to arrive in April, and the platinum rapper will get an early start on promoting it with a spot on Mariah Carey's upcoming U.S. tour.

Da Brat's long-awaited "Unrestricted" arrives next month, and the rapper will give fans a preview of the effort when she assumed the opening slot on Carey's tour beginning next week in Los Angeles. The rapper will be along for each of the nine scheduled stops on Carey's first U.S. tour in seven years.

Da Brat and Mariah were most recently spotted bonding in the video for the remix of Carey's "Heartbreaker." Meanwhile, Da Brat has returned to the airwaves on her own with "That's What I'm Looking For," the first single and video from her upcoming album. The rapper already has plans to team with director Hype Williams for a video for "What You Like," the album's second single.
