June 25 [12:00 EDT] -- Doctors for Cake frontman John McCrea have ordered the singer to stay off the road, forcing the band to abandon its U.S. tour.
After returning from the band's European tour, McCrea was diagnosed with fatigue and extreme exhaustion, and was ordered to stay home for some much-needed rest after months of touring.
The group was to launch this leg of dates with a show in Minneapolis on Monday, and the band hopes to resume touring later this year as McCrea is expected to make a full recovery.
While you won't see Cake in your town any time soon, you can catch the band's latest video, "Frank Sinatra," which is getting heavy play on M2.
