Cake wrapped its winter tour of the U.S. with a show in Seattle over the weekend, and in two weeks the band will take its musical carnival to Europe for a month's worth of dates in Great Britain, France and Germany.
"Never There," the first single from Cake's new album, "Prolonging the Magic," is still holding strong on the modern rock charts, but the band has just issued a new single and video for "Sheep Go To Heaven" [28.8 RealVideo] -- so U.S. fans enjoy a fresh slice of Cake while the band is abroad.
As we previously reported (see "Cake Gets Help From Ex-"South Park" Animators On New Video"), the video for "Sheep" was handled by several of the animators who formerly worked on the hit comedy TV series, "South Park." During a recent interview, Cake's John McCrea talked about why the band opted for a more painterly look for its new video than previous clips.
Cake kicks-off its European road show on March 4 in London, and is expected to schedule another round of North American dates for early spring.
