Back when Busta Rhymes came out with his hit single "Dangerous" last year, members of the MTV News staff mentioned that the tune's chorus sounded awfully familiar.
After much digging, it turns out that the "Dangerous" chorus is from a 1983 Public Service Announcement made for local New York television for the Long Island Regional Poison Control Center.
In response, Busta's camp says that the PSA jingle apparently just popped into the rapper's head, and that he wasn't sure where he remembered it from, and that they could not track down its origination.
Fortunately for Busta, The Long Island Regional Poison Control Center has no record, nor any recollection, of who they hired to compose that 1983 jingle. Nor do they seem to care that Busta Rhymes has incorporated parts of the old PSA into his hit record.
