Sean "Puffy" Combs, Busta Rhymes, Mase, Faith Evans, Wyclef Jean, and Li'l Kim were among the host of Hip-Hop luminaries who turned out Tuesday night for the first annual B.I.G. Night Out, a benefit gala honoring the late Notorious B.I.G.
The proceeds from the event, held at New York's Pier 60, were donated to the Christopher Wallace Foundation, a charity founded by Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, in the name of her late son. The Foundation plans to provide books, computers, and eventually a community center for children in Biggie's Brooklyn neighborhood. "I wanted to do something," Biggie's mother told MTV News Tuesday night. "I wanted to show who Christopher was to me, to his children." "I'm just so happy," Puffy told MTV News of the event. You can catch the report that John Norris filed for MTV News right here in RealVideo, and you can hear more about the B.I.G. Night Out on this week's edition of "MTV News 1515" Saturday at 10 a.m., Sunday at 10:30 a.m., and Monday at noon.
