More information about the upcoming Bob Marley tribute album, titled "Bob Marley: A Rebel's Dream," has come to light, as artists such as the Roots and Busta Rhymes have now joined the list of artists contributing their versions of some of the legend's reggae classics.

Due out on October 26, "A Rebel's Dream" also features Marley covers from some artists that were first announced back in February, including Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Krayzie Bone, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, MC Lyte, Guru, and the Lost Boyz (see "Lauryn Hill, Nas, Guru Pitching In For Bob Marley Festival, Tribute Album").

Marley's son Stephen is executive producing the tribute, and he and siblings Damien and Julian have recorded a new version of their father's "Kinky Reggae" under the name the Marley Brothers for the LP. Damien and Julian Marley also contributed to the production of the other artists' tracks as well.

The current list of tracks slated for "Bob Marley: A Rebel's Music" include:

  • Lauryn Hill - "Turn Your Lights Down Low"
  • Busta Rhymes - "Rastaman Chant"
  • The Roots - "Burnin' and Lootin'"
