Bush guitarist Nigel Pulsford is keeping his plate full lately, but there's still plenty of room for his main course.
Pulsford is currently holed up in a Nashville studio with his sister, musician Jan Pulsford, working on a tribute to jazz legend Charlie Mingus.
A spokesperson for Pulsford confirmed a Rolling Stones Online report that Sarah McLachlan, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Cyndi Lauper, Chaka Khan, and Bonnie Raitt are among the artists who have been approached for the project, but said there's no word yet on who has accepted the invitation. He also confirmed that Puff Daddy and the Wallflowers are also on the wish list for that tribute, which does not have a projected release date yet.
Pulsford turned up recently with another noted music figure, Velvet Underground bassist John Cale, at a benefit show for Tibet House (see "Live Takes Time From New Album To Join Smith, Crow, Others For Tibet House").
Of course, Pulsford is also busy with Bush-related projects. Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale wrote ten songs during a recent stay in Ireland, and Pulsford is currently working on guitar riffs for those tracks.
The band is expected to enter the studio in July to begin working on its next album.
