It appears that smooth skies are ahead for Bush as the band has officially ended its ongoing dispute with Trauma Records.
In a statement released Monday morning, the band announced a new multi-year deal with Trauma that will see the record label drop the lawsuit that it filed against the band earlier this year. Neither party is talking about the details of the deal. The legal tug-of-war between the two parties had kept Bush's third album, "The Science of Things," in drydock, but now the band plans to release the record this fall. The release will be the first from the group since 1996's "Razorblade Suitcase." Talk of a settlement and the imminent appearance of the long-delayed album began earlier this month when the band lined up a few club shows to try out its new material (see "Bush Confirms Club Gig; Settlement Looming In Label Dispute"). Next up for Bush will be three dates at New York's Irving Plaza on July 21, 22, and 23 as part of the annual Digital Club Festival (formerly the Intel Music Fest). The band will then head to Rome, New York for the 1999 model of Woodstock, which is set for July 23-25.
