The original members of seminal hip-hop group Brand Nubian have reformed for a new album, "Foundation," which is set for release on September 21.

Known for such classic beats as "Slow Down," "Wake Up" and "Punks Jump Up to Get Beat Down," the Nubians received help from several heavy-hitting hip-hop artists for new the record, which features guest appearances by Busta Rhymes and Common.

"Foundation" marks the first time that Nubian rappers Lord Jamar, Grand Puba, Sadat X and DJ Alamo have worked together since the band's 1990 debut, "One for All," as Puba and Alamo left soon after its release to pursue solo careers.

The Nubians recorded two subsequent albums with Jamar as lead vocalist, including its last release, 1994's "Everything Is Everything."
