Beck, Bjork, Kiss, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers will vie for trophies and David Bowie will perform when this year's Yahoo! Internet Life Online Music Awards are handed out on July 24 in New York.

Beck, Bjork, Kiss, the Chili Peppers, and Bowie all grabbed nods for Best Artist Site, while Bowie has been named as the recipient of this year's Online Pioneer Award.

Meanwhile, last year's Online Pioneer Award, Prince, will vie for Best Internet-Only Single along with Nine Inch Nails ("The Fragile"), Alanis Morissette ("These Are The Thoughts"), Elliott Smith ("Division Day"/"No Name #6"), and Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes ("What Is And What Should Never Be"). Page and Crowes also turn up in the Best Internet-Only Album category, with Aimee Mann ("Bachelor No. 2"), They Might Be Giants ("Long Tall Weekend"), Reeves Gabrels ("Ulysses [Della Notte]"), and The Who ("The Blues At The Bush").

The annual event returns to New York's Studio 54 again this year after the 1999 ceremony, which boasted performances from Prince, Seal, Public Enemy, and Wyclef Jean. Other than Bowie, performers for this year's ceremony have yet to be announced.

Once again, the Yahoo! Internet Life Online Music Awards will be chosen by a panel comprised of industry insiders as well as such artists as Chuck D, Isaac Hayes, Nile Rogers, Mike Simpson of the Dust Brothers, and Dean and Gene Ween.

Among the non-artist related nods, Live365.com, MP3.com, Net4Music, Wall Of Sound, and MTV-owned SonicNet will duke it out for Best Overall Music Site. Meanwhile, we here at MTV News Online are up for Best News Site along with AOL Keyword: Music, Billboard, Spin, and Yahoo! Music. MTV.com also sees its "Tori Amos Live And Unrehearsed" nominated for Best Live Music Event against "Paul McCartney At The Cavern Club," "NetAid," "Oasis Live In Toronto," and "Woodstock99."

Astralwerks , Atomic Pop, Columbia Records, TVT Records, and Universal Music Group are up for Best Label Site, while fans of David Bowie (Teenage Wildlife), Foo Fighters (There's Nothing Left To Lose), Nine Inch Nails (Painful Convictions), Phish (Phish.net), and Rage Against The Machine (RATM.net) are in the running for Best Fan Site.

Under the radar, the Best Unsigned Band Online category will see Urban Rhythm, Five Wheel Drive, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, Red Delicious, or Bassic walk off with the award, and hard core musicheads will no doubt be familiar with the nominees for Best Reference Site: All Music Guide, Net4Music, Rolling Stone, International Lyrics Server, and UBL.com.
