When Saul Williams and the stars of "Slam" staged a premiere party for the film in New York City this week, they got more of a "performance" from Puff Daddy protege Black Rob than they bargained for.

Black Rob and his posse of Bad Boy Records street team members apparently thought the party was more about Black Rob than about the stars of the film, an award-winning tale of a young poet from the inner city who winds up in jail on a petty drug charge. The group interrupted Williams' spoken word performance, rushing the stage and causing a near brawl.

Calm was restored, but many partygoers were so disturbed by the behavior, they left during Black Rob's performance.
