Some women's group's might not like it, but Prodigy's drug-fueled-night-on-the-town clip for "Smack My Bitch Up" [1MB QuickTime] walked off with Video Of The Year honors at this year's 7th annual Music Video Production Association Awards.
According to "Billboard," the controversial clip (which was pumped out by the Oil Factory production company) also earned Best Editing honors for Jonas Akerlund, who will now turn his attention to the video for Madonna's "Ray Of Light."
Tool's "Aenema," Björk's "Bachelorette," [800k QuickTime] and Busta Rhymes "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" [2MB QuickTime] also reportedly earned two awards apiece. Fiona Apple, Pulp, Death In Vegas, David Bowie, Orbital, No Doubt, Marilyn Manson, and Devo were also among the artists whose clips were recognized.

- Best Special Effects - 525 Post Production for 311's "Transistor"
- Pop Video Of The Year - DNA for Sugar Ray's "Fly"
- Rock Video Of The Year - Third Eye Films for Tool's "Aenema"
- Rap Video Of The Year - Big Dog Films for Busta Rhymes' "Put Your Eyes Where My Eyes Could See"
- Dance Video Of The Year - Las Telecatuers for Death In Vegas' "Dirt"
- Alternative Video Of The Year - Oil Factory for David Bowie's "I'm Afraid Of Americans"
- Feature Film Video Of The Year - Partizan for Beck's "Deadweight" (from "A Life Less Ordinary")
