Big Punisher, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Next, Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, and Pras are among the artists lending their talents to the soundtrack to the upcoming indie film "Slam."
Bad Boy artist Black Rob, Brand Nubian, Cappadonna, Mobb Deep, Goodie Mob, KRS-One, DJ Spooky, Noreaga, Coolio, Flipmode Squad, dead prez, and the Refugee Camp's Most Wanted will also appear on the soundtrack, which is scheduled to arrive on October 13.
For the album, Big Pun hooks up with Next on a track, Goodie Mob teams with Esthero, Flipmode Squad is joined by Busta Rhymes, and The Refugee Camp's Most Wanted gets together with Pras. The soundtrack will also feature a collaboration between Ol' Dirty Bastard and Coolio that we first reported in June (see "Coolio And Ol' Dirty Bastard Do It In The Park").
The movie, which wowed judges at both the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals, tells the tale of a young man who finds a life as a spoken word artist.
The film opens in October near the time of the soundtrack's release.
