After his "Fear Of Pop" diversion, Ben Folds is back with the Ben Folds Five and plans to take that group out on the road in April when it next album is expected to arrive.
The band will kick off a brief tour of U.S. colleges on April 16 at Bowdoin College, and will a week and a half worth of dates before jetting off to Europe for a string of shows there. As we reported earlier this month (see "Ben Folds Five Fields Fan Queries While Working On New Album"), BFF is currently putting the finishing touches on its as-yet-untitled fourth studio album. The tour and album will mark Folds' return to the group after his side project, "Fear Of Pop," which saw him team with, among others, William Shatner (both Folds and Shatner will chat up the "Fear Of Pop" project on this weekend's edition of "MTV News 1515" which airs live at 7:30 p.m. on Friday).
