While you might not recognize the music of critically-acclaimed newcomers Gomez, chances are you've heard the British group on television and not even realized it.

They're the ones that cover the Beatles' "Getting Better" for those Philips Flat TV commercials, and while it might seem strange for a group to make its introduction to U.S. audiences with an advertisement, Gomez told MTV that they were persuaded by an offer they couldn't refuse -- a free session at one of the studios the Beatles' themselves recorded at.

"We spent a day recording a Beatles' song at Abbey Road," explained Gomez multi-instrumentalist Tom Gray,

Gomez's debut album, "Bring It On," is in stores now, and the band is set to wrap-up an opening stint for Eagle Eye Cherry tonight at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. On November 10, Gomez will perform on the "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" TV show.
