Almost lost in the shuffle of the hype and excitement surrounding the reunion of Bauhaus is the re-emergence of vocalist Peter Murphy, who has kept a pretty low profile since the release of his last album, 1995's "Cascade."

After the Bauhaus completed its four-night stand in Los Angeles, Murphy headed into a Seattle studio and recorded a five song E.P., "Recall," with KMFDM's Sascha Konietzko co-producing.

The sessions indicate where Murphy's post-Bauhaus pre-occupations have led him -- which was apparently to the sights and sounds of Turkey, where he has been living for the last eight years.

"Recall" features re-mixes of two old Murphy tracks, "Indigo Eyes" and "Roll Call," as well as a pair of new songs, "Surrendered" and "Big Love Of A Tiny Fool," the latter of which comes in two versions.

Murphy will release "Recall" in the fall, and currently plans to return to the studio after the Bauhaus complete its U.S. and foreign market tours to start work on a new album he hopes to have out in early 1999.

The other three-quarters of the Bauhaus reunion, Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins have already finished their new Love and Rockets album, "Lift," which is set to arrive in stores in October.
