March 17 [14:00 EST] -- Erykah Badu will bring her silk-smooth hip-hop phrasing to the people when she hits the road on April 8 in support of her debut album "Baduizm."

The album doesn't seem to need much help, as it has now resided at the top of the R&B album chart for four weeks, and is still nestled in the top ten pop album chart.

The album's initial success can be attributed to Badu's infectious single and colorful video "On & On," and the singer is hoping to strike oil again with her next clip for "Next Lifetime," which she will co-direct.
