July 25 [10:00 EDT] -- Erykah Badu earned five nods as she dominated the 1991 Soul Train Lady of Soul Award nominations Thursday.

Badu will be up for Best R&B/Soul Album, Best R&B/Soul Single, R&B/Soul Song of the Year, Best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist, and Best R&B/Soul or Rap Music Video when the awards are dished out Friday, September 5 in Santa Monica, CA.

Badu will most likely see a lot of stage time that night, as she will also be co-hosting the event with Chaka Khan and MTV's Bill Bellamy.

It could be a busy week for Badu, whose "On And On" clip is also up for Best Female Video and Best R&B Video at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards, set for Thursday, September 4 at New York's Radio City Music Hall (see "Beck, Jamiroquai Lead Video Music Awards Nominees" from July 22).

Sultry songstress Toni Braxton and the trio 702 also picked up multiple nomination with three nods apiece.

Janet Jackson and Queen Latifah will also be on-hand to pick up awards, with Jackson earning the Lena Horne Award for outstanding career achievements, and Latifah nabbing the Aretha Franklin Award as "Entertainer of the Year."
