June 19 [7:55 EDT] -- The Sebastian Bach/Kelley Deal project the Last Hard Men will salute Rod Stewart, with a little help from Smashing Pumpkins' D'arcy Wretzky.

Wretzky joins the former Skid Row frontman Bach, ex-Breeder Deal as well as fellow Hard Man (and Frogs keyboardist) Jimmy Flemion to record a cover of "Tonight's The Night" for an upcoming Stewart tribute album. Even the most die hard Pumpkins fan might be hard pressed to find D'arcy in the mix however: the bassist is contributing backing vocals in French for the song.

The Last Hard Men are no strangers to the classic rock cannon. You may recall that the group (with drummer and former Smashing Pumpkin Jimmy Chamberlin) provided a cover of Alice Cooper's "School's Out" to the soundtrack of "Scream."

As we reported earlier this week, Atlantic Records is still deciding the future of the Last Hard Men album that Deal and company delivered to the label.

Kelley Deal has been devoting most of her time lately to her other current project, the Kelley Deal 6000. As we previously reported, that group is expected to release its first full-length album, titled "Boom, Boom, Boom," on August 26, and is currently hitting the road to support it. Bach is expected to turn up when the band plays Brownies in New York City on June 26.
