Sheryl Crow, Babyface Edmonds, R. Kelly and longtime Meat Loaf songwriter Jim Steinman were honored last night at the 46th Annual BMI Awards at Beverly Hills.
The performing rights association handed out awards to more than 70 songs, with the Steinman-penned "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," which was recorded and performed by Celine Dion on her 1996 album, "Falling Into Love," being named Pop Song of the Year.
R. Kelly, Babyface and Sheryl Crow, along with Crow co-songwriter Jeffrey Trott, shared the award for Songwriter of the Year, as each artist had three songs in the 73 recognized by BMI as the most performed of 1997.
