In what should make for one of the most compelling rock meets electronica bills the U.S. has ever seen, the Verve and Massive Attack will join forces for a series of stateside dates in July and August.
The two British acts will launch the tour at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago six weeks after the Verve make an appearance at this year's Tibetan Freedom Concert, slated for June 13 and 14 in Washington, D.C.
As we previously reported, the Verve scrapped plans earlier in the year for a U.S. tour in order to re-schedule the concerts for larger capacity venues. Massive Attack's new album, "Mezzanine," arrives in stores May 12.
