If you were tickled to see that Fiona Apple had finished work on her new video, then you'll be downright floored by the fact that the clip will make its debut on MTV this weekend.
The video, for Apple's cover of the Beatles' "Across The Universe," will debut this Sunday night on "120 Minutes." As we first reported earlier this week (see "A Peek At Fiona Apple's New Beatles-Inspired Video"), the clip was directed by Apple's beau, "Boogie Nights" director Paul Thomas Anderson.
The Beatles track is one of two covers that Apple has turned in for the soundtrack to the upcoming film, "Pleasantville." The other tune is her take on the Percy Mayfield gem "Please Send Me Someone To Love." Apple is the only contemporary artist on the soundtrack as the album is rounded out by classics from Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, and others.
The soundtrack hits stores on October 13, while the movie arrives in theaters on October 23.
