Tracks from Madonna, Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera, and Travis will be among those vying for the 45th Ivor Novello Awards, songwriting honors that will be presented next month by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters.

In the category of Best Song Musically And Lyrically, Aguilera's "Genie In A Bottle," a track written by David Frank, Steve Kipner, and Pam Sheyne, will square off against "You're Still The One," from country crossover Shania Twain and husband "Mutt" Lange, and "Strong," penned by Robbie Williams and Guy Chambers.

Last year, Tin Tin Out's remake of "Here's Where The Story Ends," a song written by Harriet Wheeler and David Gavurin of The Sundays and which originally appeared on that group's 1990 debut, "Reading Writing & Arithmetic," was selected as Best Contemporary Song.

Cher's "Believe," a track penned by the team of Brian Higgins, Stuart McLennan, Paul Barry, Steve Torch, Matt Gray, and Tim Powell, won the 1999 Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically And Lyrically.

The 2000 Ivor Novello Awards will be handed out during a gala ceremony in London on May 25.
