The electronic label Astralwerks will release a debut album by Britain's Bentley Rhythm Ace on Oct. 7. Bentley Rhythm Ace, which is comprised of Birmingham-born Mike Stokes and former Pop Will Eat Itself's Richard March, combine samples from peculiar and obscure garage sale-found records and an entourage of drum machine beats to form a quirky, rhythmic sound. Bentley Rhythm Ace plan to tour the U.S. this fall in support of their self-titled debut. -- ATN staff report [Thurs., Aug. 28, 1997, 1 p.m. PST]
