NASHVILLE — Lee Ann Womack's third album, I Hope You Dance, is a giant-killer in its first week on the Billboard Top Country albums chart, displacing the Dixie Chicks' Fly in the #1 slot.

Womack's self-titled debut album on now-defunct Decca Records peaked at #9 on the chart in July 1997, and her sophomore album, Some Things I Know, also on Decca, reached the #20 album spot in October 1998. Now on MCA Nashville, Womack finds the third time a charm. Also, on the Billboard 200 albums chart, I Hope You Dance chimes in at #17 this week.

Also debuting on the Top Country albums chart is Johnny Cash's Love God Murder trilogy, weighing in at #67. The top 10 on the albums chart remains little changed, with the Chicks sliding to #2, Faith Hill's Breathe dropping to #3 and Shania Twain's Come On Over holding at #4. George Strait's Latest Greatest Straitest drops from #3 to #5.

Rounding out the top 10 are: Lonestar's Lonely Grille at #6, Tim McGraw's A Place in the Sun at #7, Dixie Chicks' Wide Open Spaces at #8, Toby Keith's How Do You Like Me Now?! at #9 and Kenny Rogers' She Rides Wild Horses at #10.
