Phish Announce Fall North American Tour Dates

Group's latest album, Farmhouse, due May 16.

Phish, Vermont's most famous export aside from Ben & Jerry's ice cream, have announced their fall tour itinerary.

The rock band, which has already announced a spring and summer tour, which begins May 21 in New York and lasts into July, will return to the road Sept. 8 in Albany, N.Y. The 21-date fall outing wraps up Oct. 7 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif.

Known for their extended live improvisations, Phish often are compared to the Grateful Dead, but also have been influenced by Carlos Santana, Frank Zappa, jazz and bluegrass. "Bouncing Around the Room" (RealAudio excerpt), a live staple, exemplifies their diverse and dynamic sound.

The tour is in support of Phish's new album, Farmhouse, due May 16. The album continues their exploration of rustic yet modern American musical themes with their unique sense of musicianship and humor.
